MENT-MIXES

WIA hosts member-wide events called “Ment-Mixes”, 6 times over 18 months. The events feature a networking hour followed by educational programming on a specific topic relevant to our curriculum. WIA mines the talent of our mentor pool to give these presentations and to sit on panels. The goal is that mentees will leave each Ment-Mix with a new skillset that can immediately, and confidently, be applied in the workplace.

CLUSTER GROUPS

Small groups, led by mentors and alumnae, that provide a platform for meaningful dialogue and the opportunity to create a strong support network.

CLUSTER GROUPS

Mentees are assigned to small groups called clusters which are led by mentors and alumnae. Clusters, which meet after every Ment-Mix, provide a platform for honest conversation in an intimate and safe setting. Mentees remain with this cluster for the entirety of the program affording them the opportunity to create strong and lasting relationships with peers and mentors alike.

POP -UPS

Occasionally WIA will host “Pop-Up” sessions on a topic in which mentors or mentees have expressed an interest in learning more about (entrepreneurism, healthcare, technology etc.). These Pop-Ups give members unique access and insight into varying industries and trends.

ALUMNAE ASSOCIATION

The Alumnae Association was formed in 2013 as a way for graduates to stay connected to not only the mentors but to the incoming classes of mentees. It is led by a leadership board, made up of and voted on solely by the alumnae base. Alumnae Association members have access to exclusive programming and networking events throughout the year.
