Become a Mentor

Since its inception, Women in America WIA has mentored more than 250 women across a wide variety of industries helping them advance in their careers to roles including CEO, CMO, President, COO, SVP, and more. We are able to do this thanks to the dedication of our Mentors who are accomplished executives with a common goal of propelling more women into c-suites, board rooms, and positions of influence.

Prospective mentors are women who are established, successful executives with at least 20 years of experience. They represent a variety of industries, and many hold C-Suite or board-of-director positions.

Become a Mentee

Applicant Criteria:
- Typically have 10-17 years of work experience.
- Must be committed to participating in a NYC based program.
- Identified by their companies as high-performing and high potential with clarity of purpose.
- Have a track record of progression in their career.
- Is invested in their leadership journey and seeks roles with increased responsibility.
- Demonstrate a commitment to their own development and an openness to receiving and implementing feedback.
- Possess a pay-it-forward mentality for women leaders in business.
- Commit to participating in program events, both in-person and virtual.
- Have their participation supported by their company/manager so they can prioritize their time in Women in America as a key development opportunity.
