Akila Raman-Vaseghi is a Managing Director in the Americas Financing Group within the Investment Banking Division of Goldman Sachs, a leading global investment banking, securities and investment management firm.
She has responsibility for the firm's Natural Resources clients across both Investment Grade Capital Markets and Corporate Risk Management, helping them raise new capital and optimize their overall capital structure wtih respect to interest rates and currencies.
Throughout her time with the firm, she has helped a number of the firm's clients mitigate interest rate and foreign currency risk, with particular focus on hedging risk associated with mergers/acquisitions and debt issuance. Akila also co-heads the Princeton Recruiting team for Investment Banking for the firm.
Prior to joining Goldman Sachs Akila earned an A.B. in Politics and a Certificate in Finance from Princeton University.
Akila serves on the Operating Board Coalition for Queens, the Board of Trustees for the Cap & Gown Club of Princeton University, the Junior Board of Directors for Music for Autism and is the Co-President of the Princeton University Tigressions Graduate Board.
Originally from Liberty, Missouri, Akila currently resides in New York Ctiy with her husband
