WIA is a fresh and authentic professional development and mentoring program whose goal it is to enable promising female executives to fulfill their highest potential and move the needle on increasing the proportion of women as CEO’s, in the C-suite, board rooms and other prominent leadership roles.
IN 2008, a group of Senior Executive female leaders from various organizations met at the FORTUNE Most Powerful Women’s Summit.These women discovered that they shared a passion for helping professional business women in our country, who are early in their career lifecycle, develop and advance their careers. Through mentoring, education and networking they wanted to give promising young women the tools and skills they might not learn in business school or even on the job, to successfully navigate the challenges of the workplace.

Highly instructional and interactive curriculum-based events that directly correlate to WIA's 6 key objectives.
WIA hosts member-wide events called Ment-Mixes, 6 times over 18 months. The events feature a networking hour followed by educational programming on a specific topic relevant to our curriculum. WIA mines the talent of our mentor pool to give these presentations and to sit on panels. The goal is that mentees will leave each Ment-Mix with a new skillset that can immediately, and confidently, be applied in the workplace.
